You may have been one of the lucky few who the doctor’s checked your child’s blood sugar right away, or you may have been like my mom and had to push for a blood sugar check.
Either way, you are now on the other side of a T1 diagnoses for your child. It can feel entirely overwhelming.

Hi! I’m Alexandra and, just like your child, I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes at around 3 years old. My mom had to push the medical team to test my blood sugar and she was made to feel terrible about it.
Not a great way to start a lifelong journey.
All was not lost for me, nor is it all lost for you and your child.
I was a 2 sport college athlete and hall of fame recipient and am enjoying a healthy pregnancy, even if the doctor’s call me geriatric!

One on One Peer Support
We meet weekly to discuss your current parenting struggles as it relates to T1 diabetes.
We meet in the office, in your home, or via Microsoft Teams.
The goal is help you feel supported and ready to tackle another week.
$85/hour*
One on One Psychoeducation
We meet weekly to work through education topics to help you feel prepared to support your child living with T1 diabetes.
We meet in the office, in your home, or via Microsoft Teams.
The goal is to increase your knowledge and understanding of diabetes related topics.
$85/hour*
Group Trainings/Peer Support
We meet weekly as a group to receive support and to support other parents of children living with T1 diabetes.
We meet virtually via Microsoft Teams.
The goal is increase knowledge while also feeling supported and feeling like you are not alone.
$30/per participant/ hour
